Founded by Lauren, an enthusiastic ambassador for "Oh My Mahjong,". Lauren learned with her friend Cathy, who were both taught by the original SWFL Mahjong Queen, Betty Rubenstein. They were soon joined by Susan, who grew up watching her Mom play. After years of playing and multiple tournaments, they began teaching to spread the charm of American Mahjong to our beautiful coastal communities. Lauren, Cathay and Susan are dedicated to creating a warm, engaging, and stylish space for women across Southwest Florida to learn and master Mahjong.
We believe Mahjong isn’t just about tiles and tactics; it’s a fantastic way to connect, spark new friendships, and add a touch of elegance to your leisure time.

Our approach starts with a focus on understanding the pace of play, without the distraction of the card. This allows new players to grasp the fundamentals and flow of the game. Once you’re comfortable, we introduce the card in Mahjong 101, enhancing your strategic play.
We emphasize fun and encouragement throughout the learning process, making sure everyone feels confident and excited to join in. Our goal is to foster a love for Mahjong while building friendships along the way!
